Samsung India launched the Samsung Galaxy On Max, a device which is equipped with a camera that specialises in low-light photography. Powered by a 2.39GHZ, 1.69GHz Octa-Core processor, the smartphone comes with a 3,300mAH battery and 4GB RAM. It has 32GB internal memory and a micro-SD slot (expandable up to 256GB). | Galaxy On Max features a 5.7" FHD display and metal uni-body | design.The Galaxy On Max comes with a 13MP (front and rear) camera and features its flagship f/1.7 aperture on the rear camera. The Social Camera Mode in the On Max allows users to click pictures with live stickers and filters that can be edited and shared instantly. The smartphone also features Samsung Pay Mini, a safe and secured payment system. The cost of Galaxy On Max is INR 16,900, and it is exclusively available on Flipkart in Black and Gold colour variants.
Venus Optics recently unveiled the Laowa Magic Shift Converter (MSC) for Sony Full Frame E-mount cameras. The Laowa Magic Shift Converter is a lens adapter built with a patented optics system, which expands the image circle of the ultra-wide angle lenses. The shift mechanism on the adapter takes advantage of the enlarged image circle and shifts the camera sensor along the axis. The MSC is specially designed for the Laowa 12mm f/2.8 Zero-D lens and it converts the lens into a 17mm f/4 Zero-D lens with +/- 10mm shift capability. It comes with a close-to-zero distortion feature. Additionally, the MSC comes with a 360° rotation structure which allows the user to shoot in both horizontal and portrait orientation. The lens structure includes 5 elements in 4 groups. Its dimensions are 69.6 x 44.1mm and weighs about 360g. Currently the widest f/2 rectilinear lens in the market, it is an ultra-wide & ultra-fast prime lens which covers both 35mm full-frame & APS-C sensors. Weighing around 500g (~1.1 pounds), the lens is 8 cm long and comprises of 12 elements in 9 groups with 2 pcs of aspherical elements and 3 pcs of Extralow dispersion elements. It provides an extreme 110° angle of view and ultrafast f/2 aperture. The lens provides a super close focussing distance of 15cm and is specially designed to remove the optical distortion commonly exist in wide angle lenses at infinity focus.
