Japanese MNC SHARP, recently launched a new smartphone AQUOS S2, which is currently available in the Chinese markets. It features a 5.5-inch, 100% bezel less display. SHARP AQUOS S2 with three bezels is currently the largest full screen smartphone. The company announced that it will continuously explore the field of 100% bezel less screen phone. SHARP aims at achieving technology breakthroughs in screen and anti-dropping technologies. The dimensions of AQUOS S2 are: 141.8 x 72 x 7.9 mm and it weighs 140 g (approximately). The smartphone is backed by a 3020mAh battery. It offers two variants - 4GB and 6GB RAM, providing internal memory of 64GB and 128GB respectively. The new AQUOS S2 is available in White, Black, Blue and Green colour variants. Sharing his thoughts at the launch, CEO of SHARP/InFocus Mobile- Dr. Luo Zhongsheng said, “The core of full screen design is to break through the technology limit, achieve the double sense of holding and visual comfort, and provide the ultimate experience for users.”
Canon India Pvt. Ltd expanded its PIXMA printer series with the launch of two new models - PIXMA TS3170 and PIXMA E3170. The new PIXMA printers are equipped with a segmentLCD display with intuitive icons that guide the user through all operations; from wireless setup to making multiple copies using different document sizes. The operation panel of the printers feature one-touch switching to direct wireless connection and back to standard network infrastructure mode. Both the printers feature a fingerprint and scratch resistant glossy grid pattern. TS3170 is best suited for occasional printing and is compatible with affordable cartridge - Canon PG-745s and CL-746S. PIXMA E3170 is best suited for everyday printing and is compatible with ink efficient cartridges PG-47 and Cl-57s which provides low cost printing of up to 400 monochrome documents and 180 color documents. PIXMA TS3170 and PIXMA E3170 are available at the cost of INR 4,995 and INR 5,995 respectively.
Veteran Indian artist, Jaideep Mehrotra recently announced his solo exhibition titled ‘Reflections in Mercury’. The exhibition will be held at Tao Art Gallery in Worli, Mumbai, from 23rd September to 22nd October, 2017. Known for his figurative works, Jaideep will be showcasing his abstract paintings for the first time. A combination of metal, paint and various mixed media come together in his work to form these intriguing, highly reflective, metallic works. Having working for over four decades, Jaideep Mehrotra is considered to be India’s finest inventive contemporary artist.
